Thanks to the activities of the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage, last week the work of cleaning up the area of the cemetery at ul. Leszno in Przasnysz was completed. This is another action of this type, restoring a dignified appearance to the historic site.

At the Jewish cemetery in Przasnysz, the grass was mowed, the bushes were cut, the trees along Leszno Street were cut down and the garbage was cleared away. For the second time in two years, a thorough cleaning was carried out at the cemetery, paid for entirely from private funds.

“This project will help restore dignity to the Jewish cemetery while beautifying the community,” assessed Edward M. Janes, saying that the cemetery in Przasnysz is an important element of preserving Jewish heritage and memory, and that his group is proud of the work done in recent years.
