The Tarnów Jewish cemetery still contains several thousand tombstones. Owned by the Jewish Community of Kraków, major restorations took place in the past six years led by Adam Bartosz and his Committee for The Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Tarnów. This work has been supported by a number of organizations and a major EU grant. Our work has been coordinated by Friends of Jewish Heritage in Poland.
